Its on the Internet so it Must be True

And look at how far we have come as a tech society.


As i sit here typing in a rather uncomfortable chair in the university library i am connected to the internet. there are no wires connecting me to anything and yet i am still connected.

To highlight this wonderful wireless world of ours I shall give you an example.

I have just taken this picture...



...on my phone.



I then sent it to my laptop wireless via bluetooth, uploaded it to a server somewhere on the planet and then linked it to this LJ which is stored on another server which could be in a different part of the world.

How is that not amazing? OK, it would be better if I was sitting in a park somewhere or in a desert miles from civilization but the point still stands.

I now must stop procrastinating and get back to work.

I have to say, never having used any kind of mac before, that's its not as evil as i thought. Even the most rabid Apple hater has to admit Mr jobs has produced a very beautiful machine. I have overcome the ridiculous one mouse button issue by plugging in a cheap pc mouse, and have installed Firefox and Microsoft office so i am all set to start procrastinating.

Have not installed a stumble button in the interest of me getting a degree, some things are just too dangerous in the wrong hands.

I'm not too fussed that it doesn't play games as this is meant for work.... no really it is, honest.

At some point I shall be installing XP, but for the moment i think i can just about cope with OS-X and all its idiosyncrasies.
